Think Sheets
A Think Sheet is a single page typewritten submission of your thoughts in response to an assigned reading. We were given 10 readers, one for every week, but were only expected to do eight. A short summary of each of my eight think sheets are shown below.
The idea of this project was pretty daunting initially. I do enjoy writing but had never commited myself to a regular piece of writing, one every week to be precise. But in retrospect, it was fun. It opened my mind and made me think. To just stop and think and reflect and express. The readers we were given were also interesting and stimulating, which of course helped.
Personal Values Statement
A Personal Values Statement is a 3 to 4 page piece of writing which acts as a snapshot of a person's values and motivations in life. As the document is quite personal, I have included a summation of my own personal values below.
Like writing a mini-autobiography, it was a fresh experience to write a personal values statement. To see personal memories and thoughts that is normally held within come out as words is scary, yet somehow a relief.
The Project
The final project allowed us to a design a single dwelling space for one person based on our own personal values. Below is the presentation of my design.
To then relate myself as a person to architecture was a lot of fun and I enjoyed the process as well as the outcome.
